Tim Martin

Courses: Folk Music  Ukulele

Tim is a working musician and a disabled member of the Musician’s Union. He is a long standing member of Birmingham Clarion Singers, sings in an acapella Folk Group, ‘Voices’ & is involved in the ‘Busking for charity’ project in & around the Black Country.

Primarily a singer/song writer of Folk and Protest songs, he often accompanies himself with a foot-drum and either a Baritone Banjolele, a Stick Dulcimer or Baritone Ukulele.

Tim can be found performing in folk clubs, out on the streets, at picket lines & protests as well as more formal settings. He has attended many past WMA Summer Schools where his love & enthusiasm for Folk Music and protest song has become firmly established.

From being a long-standing WMA member who has served on the EC & after running last years morning ukulele group, Tim wants to put back some of the knowledge and fun he has experienced in the past.
